New strategy aims to cut opioid use after prostate cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT07427043

Summary

This study is testing a new pain management plan for men recovering from robotic prostate cancer surgery. The plan uses multiple non-opioid pain medications first, with opioids available only if patients call to request them. Researchers want to see if this approach safely reduces opioid use after surgery while maintaining good pain control and recovery.
