The training is done via an app and focuses on listening and sharing emotions.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

Empathy- and compassion-based socio-emotional mental training (EmCo)

What this could lead to

If it works, this could offer a practical, low-cost way to reduce burnout and loneliness among healthcare workers.

What could go wrong

This is a non-randomized waitlist-controlled trial, so results may be less reliable. The training is app-based and relies on daily partner practice, which may not suit everyone.
