Can an app stop teen mental health problems before they start?
NCT ID NCT05934019
Summary
This study tested whether an 8-week online program called EMPATIA could help prevent mental health issues in teenagers experiencing mild emotional struggles. 158 Swiss teens aged 12-18 used the program to learn skills for handling stress, worries, and difficult emotions. Researchers compared these teens to others receiving usual care to see if the online approach reduced general psychological distress and improved functioning.
