Summary

This study tested online gut-directed hypnotherapy for adults with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) whose symptoms did not improve with standard treatments. The goal was to reduce belly pain, bloating, and other digestive issues, as well as related anxiety and depression. Researchers measured symptom changes using a standard IBS severity questionnaire.
