NCT ID NCT07246239
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether an internet-based self-help program called VIVIM can help university students with anxiety and depression. About 108 students will be randomly assigned to use VIVIM or receive usual support from their university counseling service. They will fill out questionnaires at the start, after 10 weeks, and at 6 months to see if symptoms improve.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
online cognitive behavioral therapy program (VIVIM)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could provide an accessible, low-cost option for students to manage anxiety and depression without needing in-person therapy.
What could go wrong
This is a relatively small trial (108 participants) and relies on self-reported symptoms. The program may not work for everyone, and results may not apply to students outside Spain.
