Smarter radiation aims to cut side effects in cervical cancer

NCT ID NCT06562166

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests whether a newer, more precise type of radiation (online adaptive radiotherapy) can reduce side effects and better control cervical cancer compared to standard image-guided radiotherapy. About 124 women with advanced cervical cancer will receive either the new or standard radiation along with chemotherapy. The goal is to see if the adaptive approach causes fewer bladder and bowel problems while still effectively treating the tumor.
