Radiation beads take aim at tough pancreatic cancer
NCT ID NCT05466799
First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding tiny radioactive beads (OncoSil) directly into the tumor can help control locally advanced pancreatic cancer better than chemotherapy alone. About 88 people whose cancer has not spread but cannot be removed by surgery will receive either standard chemo or chemo plus the bead injection. The goal is to see if the combination is safe and improves local disease control.
