Pancreatic cancer patients get targeted chemo via new catheter

Summary

This early study tests a special catheter that delivers the chemotherapy drug Gemcitabine directly into or near pancreatic tumors. It includes 9 people with advanced pancreatic cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. Each person gets four treatments, two weeks apart, and is followed for 6 months. The main goal is to see if this approach is safe and feasible.
