First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tested a new once-nightly medication (FT218) for people with narcolepsy who experience excessive daytime sleepiness and sudden muscle weakness (cataplexy). It included 184 participants who either switched from a twice-nightly medication or were new to this type of treatment. The main goal was to check the long-term safety and tolerability of taking FT218 once per night.
