This phase II trial tests whether combining two hormone-blocking drugs — onapristone and anastrozole — can shrink tumors or slow cancer growth in women with hormone-receptor-positive endometrial cancer that has not responded to prior chemotherapy. Onapristone blocks progesterone from fueling cancer cells, while anastrozole lowers estrogen production.
