First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tests whether it is safe to avoid placing a nasogastric tube (a tube through the nose into the stomach) after minimally invasive pancreatic surgery. About 200 adults aged 18-75 will be randomly assigned to either routine tube placement or no tube. The goal is to see if skipping the tube does not lead to more complications and may reduce discomfort and speed up recovery.
