Could a simple fish oil pill help fight prostate cancer?

NCT ID NCT02333435

Summary

This study is testing whether taking a daily fish oil supplement (rich in EPA, an omega-3) can help men with high-risk prostate cancer. It aims to see if the supplement reduces inflammation, slows cancer cell growth, and improves mood and quality of life. About 130 men scheduled for prostate removal surgery will take either the fish oil or a placebo pill for about a year, starting six weeks before their operation.
