First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tests whether taking high-dose omega-3 (fish oil) pills for 12 weeks can reduce inflammation and cell damage in women with lupus who have mild disease. Eighty women aged 18-45 will receive either omega-3 or a placebo. Researchers will measure changes in blood markers of inflammation, oxidative stress, and telomere length (a sign of cell aging).
