Can a daily Omega-3 pill tame dangerous blood fats?
NCT ID NCT06538324
Summary
This study tested whether taking a daily omega-3 supplement from algae could help improve blood fat (triglyceride) levels and reduce inflammation in overweight and obese adults in Chile who have high triglycerides. Forty participants took either the omega-3 pill or a placebo oil for six weeks, had a break, and then switched to the other pill. Researchers measured blood fats and inflammation markers before and after meals to see if the supplement made a difference.
