Summary
This study is testing whether daily omega-3 fatty acid supplements can help maintain healthy blood vessels in the eyes of people with type 1 diabetes. Researchers will enroll 80 adults with type 1 diabetes who will take omega-3 supplements for one year while having regular eye exams. The goal is to see if these supplements can help prevent or slow down diabetes-related eye damage before it affects vision.
