Fish oil pills tested as potential breast cancer shield

NCT ID NCT02295059

Summary

This study is looking at how high and low doses of omega-3 fish oil supplements affect breast tissue in women who have had a certain type of breast cancer. Researchers are testing 80 survivors to find biological signs that omega-3s might help prevent cancer from coming back. The goal is to gather information to design better future prevention trials, not to treat or cure cancer in this study.
