Summary
This study looked at whether taking omega-3 fatty acid supplements can reduce joint pain and stiffness caused by aromatase inhibitor drugs, which are used to treat hormone-positive breast cancer. 77 postmenopausal women who were starting aromatase inhibitor therapy took omega-3 supplements for 3 months. Researchers measured changes in blood fatty acid levels and tracked how well patients tolerated the medication.
