Can a spoonful of olive oil a day melt away liver fat?
NCT ID NCT07412444
Summary
This study is testing whether adding extra virgin olive oil to a Mediterranean diet can help people with fatty liver disease (MASLD). Researchers will compare the effects of a standard amount (3 tablespoons) to a higher amount (9 tablespoons) daily over about 10 weeks. They will measure changes in liver fat, blood sugar, cholesterol, and gut bacteria to see if olive oil can improve liver health and metabolism.
