First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a special breathing therapy called OLE (Oscillatory Lung Expansion) helps ICU patients with pneumonia clear mucus from their lungs. Researchers will use a lung imaging tool (EIT) to see how well the therapy works. About 62 adults in the ICU who have a lung infection and produce a lot of sputum will take part. The main goal is to measure cough strength and see if the therapy improves breathing and mucus clearance.
