First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether olanzapine, a medication typically used for mental health conditions, can help lower opioid cravings and misuse in adults with cancer who are on long-term opioid therapy for pain. About 87 participants will receive either olanzapine or a placebo to see if the drug reduces craving and improves safety. The goal is to find a way to ease opioid-related risks while managing cancer pain.
