Summary

This study tested a smartphone app called OKquit to help smokers quit. Over 500 adults who called the Oklahoma Tobacco Helpline took part. Some got the app plus standard help like nicotine patches, while others got standard help only. The app provided on-demand tips and daily check-ins. Researchers tracked who quit by using carbon monoxide breath tests.
