First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether Oketani massage, a gentle breast massage technique, could improve breastfeeding success and reduce breast engorgement in mothers who gave birth by cesarean section. Researchers compared 58 mothers who received the massage to 58 who did not. The goal was to see if the massage made breastfeeding easier and more comfortable in the days after delivery.
