Simple pee test could revolutionize diagnosis for brittle bone disease

NCT ID NCT02531087

Summary

This study aims to see if a new urine test can help doctors better understand and classify different types of Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), a rare condition that makes bones break easily. Researchers will collect urine samples from 25 people with OI who have specific genetic mutations. The goal is to find a simpler way to identify disease subtypes compared to current blood or skin tests.
