First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using a special camera called optical coherence tomography (OCT) during heart procedures helps doctors decide if and how to treat blocked arteries. Over 3,000 adults with various heart conditions are being followed to see if OCT guidance leads to fewer heart attacks, deaths, or repeat procedures. The goal is to understand how this imaging tool improves both short- and long-term results.
