Eye scan tech aims for perfect contact lens fit

NCT ID NCT04570020

Summary

This study is testing whether a special eye imaging technology called OCT can help doctors fit scleral contact lenses better for people with irregular corneas, such as those with keratoconus or after certain eye surgeries. Researchers will compare the fit of lenses chosen using the standard method against lenses chosen using the OCT scan data. The goal is to see if the OCT method leads to a more comfortable and effective lens fit by ensuring proper clearance and positioning on the eye.
