NCT ID NCT04234659
First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looked at 150 women who had a rare but serious heart condition called peripartum cardiomyopathy, which caused a life-threatening drop in blood flow (cardiogenic shock) around the time of childbirth. Researchers collected information from medical records and follow-ups to describe the treatments these women received and how they fared over time. The goal was to better understand the long-term course of the disease, not to test a new treatment.
