Summary
This study aimed to understand why some people with obesity develop obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) while others do not. Researchers studied 106 adults with obesity before and six months after weight-loss surgery, measuring their airway function and structure. The goal was to learn the specific physical reasons behind the link between obesity and sleep apnea to help guide future personalized treatments.
