New strategy aims to stop obesity before it starts in young people
NCT ID NCT06905626
Summary
This study aims to prevent obesity in young adults (ages 18-25) who are overweight and have a family history of obesity. Researchers will test if combining personalized lifestyle coaching with a low-dose weight management medication (Qsymia) is more effective than coaching alone at stopping unhealthy weight gain over two years. The goal is to target the underlying biology that drives weight gain before obesity develops.
