Scientists test if new Weight-Loss drugs slow down your stomach

NCT ID NCT06801015

Summary

This study aims to understand how two weekly injectable medications for obesity—semaglutide and tirzepatide—affect how the stomach works. Researchers will compare these drugs to a placebo in 30 adults with obesity, measuring stomach emptying, feelings of fullness, and body weight over 24 weeks of treatment. The goal is to learn how these medications help control weight by changing stomach function.
