New obesity injection enters human testing

NCT ID NCT07291232

Summary

This is an early-stage study to test the safety and effects of an investigational drug called ABBV-295, given as an injection under the skin, in adults with obesity. The main goals are to check for side effects, see how the body processes the drug, and measure any changes in body weight. About 96 participants will receive either the active drug or a placebo (an inactive shot) to compare the results.
