Summary
This study is testing how well a family wellness program called Turtle Island Tales can reach American Indian families to help prevent childhood obesity and related cancers. The program uses cultural stories and activities to promote healthy eating, physical activity, and family time. Researchers are working with community partners to offer the program through existing nutrition assistance services and will measure its impact on family health behaviors.
