First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at how being overweight or obese might make multiple sclerosis (MS) worse in children. Researchers will compare brain scans and blood tests from 58 kids with MS—half of normal weight and half overweight—to see if obesity leads to more inflammation and brain shrinkage. The goal is to understand the link so doctors can find better ways to slow MS early on.
