NCT ID NCT05176015

First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tested whether using Frenzel lenses (special goggles) and a checklist helps emergency doctors better detect nystagmus—an involuntary eye movement—in 120 patients with sudden dizziness or vertigo. The goal was to see if these tools improve diagnosis of serious causes like stroke. Results will guide future research on faster, more accurate ER assessments.
