Summary
This study tested whether providing active nutritional support could help head and neck cancer patients receiving radiotherapy. It aimed to see if better nutrition could reduce the painful mouth sores (mucositis) that are a common and debilitating side effect of treatment. The goal was to improve patients' quality of life and ability to eat during their cancer therapy.
