Can free healthy food help kids fight diabetes?
NCT ID NCT06640478
Summary
This small pilot study is testing if providing weekly bags of healthy foods and nutrition counseling, in addition to standard insulin treatment, can help children newly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Researchers want to see if this approach is practical and acceptable, and if it might help preserve the body's natural insulin production for longer. The goal is to gather information to design a larger future trial.
