Can a nutritional drink before surgery help frail seniors survive hip fractures?
NCT ID NCT07463352
Summary
This study aims to see if giving nutritional drinks to frail elderly patients before hip fracture surgery helps them recover better. Researchers will observe 228 patients aged 65+ to see if this support leads to fewer complications, shorter hospital stays, and lower risk of death. The study will compare patients who receive the extra nutrition with those who follow their usual diet.
