First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests whether temporarily numbing non-paralyzed arm muscles with an over-the-counter cream can improve strength and function in paralyzed muscles during rehabilitation. About 30 adults with spinal cord injury will receive the cream while exercising. The goal is to see if this simple approach helps the brain focus on weak muscles, leading to better recovery.
