Heart patients get a digital nudge to check cholesterol

NCT ID NCT07382414

First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether sending an electronic letter to people with ischemic heart disease and high cholesterol encourages them to get their cholesterol checked. About 100,000 adults in Denmark will either receive the letter or not, and researchers will track lab tests and doctor visits using national health records. The goal is to see if a simple nudge can improve risk-factor monitoring without extra clinic visits.
