New cancer drug enters human trials, aims to shrink advanced tumors

Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new drug called NUC-7738 in adults with advanced cancers that have not responded to standard treatments. The main goals are to find a safe dose and see if the drug can shrink tumors, either by itself or combined with another immunotherapy drug. The study will enroll about 135 patients with various advanced solid tumors or lymphoma.
