NCT ID NCT03312075

First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study aimed to find out how many people with cystic fibrosis in France have infections from a type of bacteria called non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM). Researchers collected sputum samples and blood tests from 848 patients to compare standard culture methods with a newer blood test (serology). The study was stopped early, but it may help improve how these infections are detected and tracked in the future.
