New PET scan could personalize nasopharyngeal cancer treatment

Summary
This study tests whether a special PET scan can detect a protein called SSTR2 on nasopharyngeal cancer tumors. Ten adults with EBV-related nasopharyngeal cancer will get the scan before and after starting chemotherapy or chemoradiation. The goal is to see if this imaging method can help doctors choose more targeted treatments in the future.
