New PET tracers could sharpen kidney cancer detection

Summary

This study aims to see if new PET imaging agents can better detect and stage kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma). Researchers will use special tracers that target proteins on cancer cells, such as PSMA, CAIX, and CD70, in 66 adults with suspected or confirmed kidney cancer and healthy volunteers. The goal is to improve diagnosis and help guide treatment decisions.
