This study looked at 233 people with heart disease who were not taking cholesterol-lowering drugs. Researchers told both the patients and their doctors about calcium found in the heart arteries on a CT scan. The goal was to see if this information would lead to starting cholesterol-lowering therapy. The study aimed to improve care by making patients and doctors more aware of hidden risks.
