Summary
This study looked at whether notifying both patients and their doctors about calcium found in the heart arteries on a CT scan helps start cholesterol-lowering medication. About 233 adults with known heart disease who were not already on such therapy took part. The goal was to see if this simple notification could improve treatment rates.
