Summary

This study aimed to understand if the same bacteria found in the nose could cause foot infections in people with diabetes. Researchers compared the bacteria from the noses and foot ulcers of 278 diabetic patients to see if they matched. The goal was to learn more about how these infections spread to help guide future prevention and care.
