NCT ID NCT07527481
First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study examined health records of 5,000 older adults with low kidney function who started taking nortriptyline, an antidepressant. Researchers compared those on higher doses (over 10 mg/day) to those on a low dose (10 mg/day) to see if they had more emergency visits, hospital stays, or deaths within 30 days. The goal was to understand if dose adjustments are needed for this vulnerable group.
