This study compared two medications, norepinephrine and phenylephrine, given continuously during C-sections to prevent dangerously low blood pressure. 98 women participated. Norepinephrine was more effective, causing low blood pressure in only 14.9% of cases compared to 42.6% with phenylephrine, and also led to steadier heart rates. Both drugs were safe for the babies.
