Summary

This study looked at giving a drug called norepinephrine early during major abdominal surgery to prevent low blood pressure and reduce organ damage. About 500 adults aged 50 and older having long or risky abdominal surgery took part. The goal was to see if this approach lowers the chance of serious complications after surgery.
