New pacing technique could cut heart failure deaths and hospital stays
NCT ID NCT07492979
First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study compares a newer pacing method (directly pacing the heart's natural electrical system) to the standard pacing method in 1100 people with heart failure and a specific heart block. The goal is to see if the new method reduces the chance of death or unplanned hospital visits due to heart failure. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two pacing approaches and followed over time.
