Could a simple blood pressure cuff replace heart catheterization for lung disease patients?

NCT ID NCT05618093

First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study aimed to see if a noninvasive device (ClearSight system) could accurately measure how well the heart pumps blood in people with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) or chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH). Researchers planned to compare these measurements with standard right heart catheterization results and track patients over a year. The study was withdrawn before enrolling any participants, so no results are available.
